Today I'm sharing lots of tips on how I create detailed or intricate cards! These are probably one of my most favorite types of cards to make.
In the midst of all of my holiday card making and preparations, I chose to create a thank you card. Not only are they my favorite kind of card to create, but they are so needed this time of year! :-) To make a holiday card, ou could easily recreate this but just swap out the yellow flowers for red ones and the pink for gold!
Here are some of my tips for creating detailed cards...
1. Choose fine or detailed stamps and/or dies.
2. When combining a detailed frame or background with detailed images, keep the background colors neutral to avoid overwhelming the overall design.
3. Think layers - cardstock layers, pattern layers, color layers, and texture layers.
4. Try adding a bit of glitter to just a little bit of the focal images to add to the visual intricacy.
5. When adding several images over a heavily textured or patterned background, make sure there is some contrast either with color or add some lift by using adhesive foam.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
